Live Apple Expo Keynote Coverage

The Expo was pretty uneventful. The iMac was a big announcement but not what we all expected. We missed Steve but Phil did a good job none the less. Other than the uneventul Tiger demo, it was a great keynote and went smoothly except for the "We Want Steve!" yelled out during the iChat AV demo. Click "Full Story" for the completed article.

Keynote begins Tuesday morning 4AM EDT

Wow. That iMac sure is ugly. For some reason I remeber Steve Jobs saying they would never just jam the computer bits on to the back of and LCD. Now a year later, sure enough they do just that. I think Jon Ives is starting to lose it.

I think it is a great evolution, a great price point of entry for a 17".

Negatives are the stock RAM and possibly the graphics card, although the G5 will make up for some of the graphic card weakness.

It will be weird knowing that an iMac can be purchased now that has G5 chips like my dual 2. Go Apple!
