January 11th: Sunday was awesome! We met up and had a total of seven people hanging out with us as we went all over SF all excluding the Mission and Golden Gate. We had dinner at a Thai place in Castro. We went split into groups and went to the hotel and I went to the Redwood Room to meet some friends I met last year. From there, went to a club called, "Pink" and the music was great. I would touch on things more but it is 3AM right now and I have Macworld coverage at 5:30. I have 200 photos to title, rotate, touch-up and post to our site.
I got home at 4AM and was late getting up today to go to Moscone center and get our badges. Myself and Matt got there at 9:30 to get the badges, then we met with Macmice owner for a small interview. I managed to get on Expo floor and I did an iTalk recording of new things coming out at Expo this week. I am posting the raw audio file at the bottom of this entry.
I missed breakfast and had a late lunch at Apple headquarters. Mike Livsey, pt. time writer of MPG and full time news editor of The Different District, offered to drive myself, Matt, John Tylko III, and his mom to Apple HQ for a while. We were going to rent a car but it was going to be too much and Mike had an explorer and got us there in 30 minutes. We took pictures (posted l8r) all over and got to eat lunch at "Cafe' Macs" where you see Apple Exectutives and others. We had a great time and I got a few Apple branded clothing items. You can't buy their clothes anywhere else unless in the Retail area and up. I also got three bottles of the same water Steve drinks at the keynote each year. It was a great trip and a chance to see the countryside out of San Francisco.
I attended a thing later with some of the exhibiting companies and won a copy of Adobe Acrobat 6 Pro. Funny thing is, 7 is already out and even funnier is I won the same software at last year's Adobe Breakfast during MWSF04. I went to go see Spin Doctors' rehearsal and went to see "Life Aquatic" with Mike and Matt. We went out and now it is 3:45 AM and I am still up. so I got 2 hours of sleep last night and none tonight. I had so much work to do, myself and Mike just stayed up to complete.
I go to Keynote at 5AM and get doughnuts for our readers, and cover the keynote. I will check in later with more pictures.
