Apple Updates eMac to 1.25Ghz

April 13th: Apple updated the eMac line of computers across the line. All models have speeds up to 1.25Ghz. Other changes are updating from the graphics engine from Radeon 7500 to Radeon 9200 with 32mbs of Vram. The system bus was updated from 133Mhz to 167Mhz. The Superdrive went from a 4x burner to an 8x burner. These are natural speed bumps and enhancements. Overall, this eMac should be a lot faster. With the ram being faster as well, it looks like the new eMac has comparable specs of the current Powerbook line. If you look at the 15" ALbook, compared to this eMac line, you will see many similarities. The best thing about this update is The top of the line eMac with 1.25Ghz, superdrive, 80gb HD, and other great features is only $999! That is amazing. If you think about it, I payed $1799 for a 17" iMac back in December for the exact same features. Although this is an eMac, that price comparison for the same power is amazing.
Honestly, Apple did not have to work to hard to make this update come to life. It was just adding more stuff in the same eMac package. There may be more changes and we will investigate further.
All this update does is put a stop to the arguement that Apple has not updated their hardware in months. We have new eMacs so shut the F**K up! Apple will inroduce new products when they are ready.
