Review: Timbuk2 Commute Laptop bag
When it comes to messenger bags the first name you think of is Timbuk2 they are the leading manufacturer of messenger bags and have been for many years. What most people don't know about timbuk2 is that they also produce high quality laptop bags. When designing these bags they took from the basic concepts of their messenger bags; keeping contents safe and protected from the environment, and making sure its actually comfortable to carry unlike some bags out there.

The bag I am reviewing is the commute bag. It fits all the current iBook models and the 12 and 15 PowerBooks. This has to be the most cleverly designed laptop bags I have ever used. They though of everything when they designed this bag, theres a pocket for everything a student of businessman needs. It has a laptop sleeve which is lined with a plush soft material to keep your laptop safe. Outside that is the main space where people would put their books, papers, binders etc. On the inside there is 3 pencil slots and some other pouches for other random stuff like iPods and cameras. There is also a clear id sized pouch for putting an id of course. Now to the outside of the bag, in the front where the flap comes down and covers it there is two large pockets on each side then a square zippered pocket for putting some change or bills. Then on each side of the bag there is an elastic pouch perfect for a water bottle. On the back there is a big cushion so when the bags bumps into you when your walking it doesnt hurt you, there is another pocket under the cushion. The bag is also fully waterproof which is another plus, unlike some leather laptop bags. The commute bag sells for $100, maybe a little steep for some peoples budget, but if you want a bag that will last this is the one for you.
