UK News: Another UK Music Download Store, but no iTMS yet?

UK digital music distributor Wippit launched its à la carte, platform-agnostic music download service today.

The company – which already offers a subscription-based service for Windows – is offering 150,000 tracks from EMI, BMG and 200 independent labels through its new service, including current rising stars such as Franz Ferdinand. Tracks cost from 29p.

In other news European digital music operator OD2 has announced that it has sold one million downloaded tracks in the first quarter 2004.
